Tempeh Chili [WF/GF/DF/V]
Tempeh, a cultured soybean product, lends this dish texture and nutty flavor.
Ingredients
8 oz. tempeh
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cumin
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons wheat-free tamari
1 teaspoon garlic
6 Tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 onion, diced
4 cups tomatoes
4 cups vegetable broth
2 cups kidney beans, cooked
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Marinate tempeh in first 2 ingredients. Sauté pepper, onion and spices in oil. Dice tempeh. Add tempeh and its marinade to sautéing vegetables. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes.
