Recycling and Waste Reduction
Lakewinds Natural Foods is committed to both recycling waste and reducing it in the first place. We help you keep wasteful packaging to a minimum when you use your own containers for our bulk foods, coffees, eggs and filtered water. If you bring your own shopping bags, you save a nickel per bag! And, internally, we recycle our fruit and vegetable scraps, paper and cardboard, glass, plastic and metal.
We also help you recycle by accepting the following items at the front of the store:
- batteries
- cell phones
- eyeglasses
- hearing aids
- ink jet printer cartridges
- plastic bags
