Quick Asparagus Tomato Soup

Fast with pre-made tomato base; fresh with your favorite produce.
yield: 5 cups
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 # leeks, well-washed slivers
2 cups asparagus, diced
1 lg. pinch salt
1 lg. pinch black pepper
1 quart Pacific Creamy Tomato Soup
1 tablespoon minced fresh basil
1 tablespoon butter (optional)
Instructions
In olive oil, sauté the leeks (dry after washing.. salad spinner works great for the whole process), salt and pepper for 5 minutes. Add the asparagus and cook for 5 minutes. Add Pacific Creamy Tomato Soup, and gently heat till hot. Stir in the basil. When ready to serve, stir in (off the heat) 1 tablespoon butter (optional, but delicious).
