Lemon-Thyme Flank Steak Marinade

Marinating overnight helps ensure that the steak will be tender and flavorful, allowing you to broil or grill quickly.
yield: 3 lb. steak, about 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
3 # flank steak
1/4 cup tamari
1/2 cup red wine
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 c minced red onion
Instructions:
1. Allow 8 hours or overnight for marinating.
2. Mix all ingredients except flank steak well, then add steak, cover, and put in fridge. Turn over ever few hours if possible.
3. Dry off between sheets of paper towels and let approach room temperature as you heat up the grill or broiler. 4. Cook about 5 minutes per side for medium rare.
