Doug's Chocolate Sauce

This sauce is quick and easy, and you can decide: organic ingredients? caffeinated or decaf coffee? (or just more milk). Should keep in fridge for a few weeks. Have over ice cream, or pound cake with raspberries.
yield: 2 cups
Ingredients
9 oz. (aprox. 2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. coffee
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons butter (unsalted)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
Melt chocolate and hot coffee in either the microwave (medium) or over a double-boiler. Boil the milk and cream for 1 min., and off heat add sugar and melted chocolate/coffee. Boil for 1 min. Off the heat, stir in butter and vanilla. Whisk a few minutes to cool.
