Berries In Red Wine Sauce [WF/GF/DF]

Ingredients
2/3 cup red zinfandel wine (other reds would be nice, just different)
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups fresh raspberries
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Combine the wine, sugar and cinnamon in a small saucepan and bring to boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the mixture becomes syrupy, about 5 minutes. Stir in the raspberries and vanilla extract and remove from the heat. Cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until well chilled.
This is a great summer fruit sauce served over ice cream, angel food cake or simple slices of cheesecake for an easy summer dessert.
